Regent's Latest France Property to Open Soon

The new 150 room Regent Bordeaux is scheduled to open in Bordeaux, France, in late 2007 or early 2008. Originally slated to be a Radisson SAS Grand Hotel, the owners decided the property was better suited to the Regent Brand because of the large-scale renovation of this historic palais and its prime location on the Place de la Comedie (opposite the Opera National de Bordeaux, just footsteps from the Golden Triangle's elegant shopping district).

Famed interior designer Jacques Garcia (Hotel Costes, Paris; Spice Market, New York) combines the classical style of the XVIII and XIX centuries with modern eclectic luxury in this first Regent in France. L'Ocean will feature the region's best cuisine and finest wines, Les Bains de Lea Spa offers a 3,000-square-foot facility with an indoor rooftop pool and Fashion Avenue adds jewelers (Van Cleef & Arpels, Chopard, De Grisogono, Repossi and Boucheron) and boutiques (Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Roberto Cavalli and Bottega Veneta) to the chic neighborhood.
