Rentalo.com Identifies Trends In Central Florida Disney Area

orlandoRentalo.com, an online vacation rentals firm that includes the hotel and bed and breakfasts market, has released a new marketing study that outlines the behavior and consumer habits of vacation rental and lodging in Central Florida. The study reflects input from the website’s database of 42,811 opted in travelers who visited Orlando, Kissimmee, and Davenport during July of 2008 and January of 2010.

Orlando

Stats on Orlando reveal that 47.48 percent of the trip planners that requested Orlando vacation rentals were also open to stay in a bed and breakfast or a hotel. 40.20 percent also wanted to receive offers from nearby destinations like Davenport, Winter Park, Maitland, Altamonte Springs, Lake Buena Vista, Apopka, Longwood, Oviedo, Kissimmee and Lake Mary.

In Orlando, most travelers look for family accommodations as 48.29 percent of the inquiries requested lodgings with children. Romantic getaways for parties of two accounted for 28.27 percent of the inquiries, while big groups of more than 4 people were 21.21 percent of the inquiries.

Nearly 56 percent of the inquiries were sent three months or more prior to the travel date, 9.1 percent were sent one to two months prior to the travel date, and 35.14 percent were last minute inquiries sent only one month prior to the travel date.

Kissimmee

The study on Kissimmee reveals that 47.93 percent of the travelers looking for Kissimmee vacation rentals also like to compare offers from hotels and bed and breakfasts. 31.54 percent also inquired on nearby destinations like Lake Buena Vista, Haines City, Orlando and Davenport.

About 28 percent plan their vacation one month in advance, 51.69 percent 3 or more months in advance and 18.18 percent 1 or 2 months prior to arrival date.

According to this study, Kissimmee can be considered a family vacation destination since 57.17 percent of the inquiries were from families with childrenm, 12 percent are from couples looking for romantic getaways and 35.07 percent are from people planning family reunions and larger groups with four or more adults and children.

About 47 percent are from families planning family vacations with children, 11.13 percent are from couples looking for romantic getaways and 41.40 percent are from people planning family reunions and larger groups with four or more adults and children.

Davenport

Stats on Davenport revealed that 42.69 percent of the travelers who inquired on Davenport vacation rentals showed interest in comparison shopping, by accepting to receive offers from vacation rentals, bed and breakfasts, and hotels. 

Nearly 13 percent were also interested in receiving offers from nearby destinations including Orlando, Winter Park, Maitland, Altamonte Springs, Lake Buena Vista, Longwood, Apoka, Oviedo, Kissimmee and Lake Mary.

Nearly 49 percent plan their vacation three or more months in advance. About 20 percent plan their vacation one to two months in advance, and 27.71 percent plan their vacation within 30 days prior to arrival.

Half are from families planning family vacations with children, 15.99 percent are from couples looking for romantic getaways and 33.97 percent are from people planning family reunions and larger groups with four or more adults and children.
