Rick Downgraded to Tropical Storm, Remains Strong

According to the National Weather Service, Tropical Storm Rick, which was downgraded from a hurricane, saw little change in strength over night with a warning still in effect. T

he warning is for the west coast of Southern Baja California from Agua Blanca southward and for the east coast of Buena Vista southward including Cabo San Lucas. As of late this morning, the center of Rick was about 200 miles south southwest of Cabo San Lucas and about 90 miles north of Socorro Island. It is moving toward the north east and, at this pace, is expected to pass near or to the south of the southern tip of Baja California later tonight.
