Ritz-Carlton Plans Hotel/Residential Property on Florida's West Coast

Ritz-Carlton, which has nine properties in Florida currently, will open a waterfront hotel in Tampa in 2011. The Ritz-Carlton, Tampa Bay will have 269 guest rooms as well as a 15,000-square-foot spa, boutiques and upscale shops, and several dining venues including a signature restaurant and a South Beach-inspired beachside bar and grill.

The hotel is being developed along with the Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Tampa Bay, which will comprise 44 apartments on the top seven floors of the hotel and 132 homes in an adjacent 19-story tower. Select residents and guests will have access to the Club Lounge, a Ritz-Carlton signature amenity where entertainment, activities, and light meals and refreshments are available throughout the day. The development will also include a marina with boat slips for hotel guests and residents.

The new Ritz-Carlton, Tampa Bay will be located within five miles of Tampa International Airport and the Westshore business and shopping district and about eight miles from downtown Tampa.
