Rocco Forte's Hotel de Rome Sets Oct. 12 Opening Date

Look for Rocco Forte Hotels to open its newest property, Hotel de Rome, in Berlin on Oct. 12. The 146-room hotel is named after the Grand Hotel de Rome, which opened in the late 19th century near the Bebelplatz, where Rocco Forte's property is located. Olga Polizzi, Forte's sister who oversees the interior designs of all hotels in the collection, also worked on the Hotel de Rome. Facilities include an Italian gourmet restaurant, fitness center and swimming pool, a five-treatment room spa and conference rooms. Rocco Forte Hotels is also developing an unnamed property in Munich slated to open June 2007.
