Sabre Extends Hotel UpSell to Hotels in the U.K.

Sabre Holdings is extending its Hotel UpSell product to hotels in the United Kingdom. The product, which allows travel agents to more easily access hotel upgrades, has been around in the U.S. market since January. "This is a win for travel agents because they can book a better room and net a little more commission, they can appear like more of a travel expert (by getting the upgrade) and the hotel gets a win because they sell a room type that would have gone unsold and the customer wins because they got a good deal on the upgrade," says Stephen Fitzgerald, vice president, hotel and car distribution for the Sabre Travel Network.
