San Diego Tourism Authority Targets Travel Trade With New Promotion

benjamin eastmanThe San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA) has promoted Benjamin Eastman to director of travel trade development.

In his new position Eastman will head the five-person Travel Trade Development department responsible for working with travel agents and tour operators domestically and internationally.

A 14-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Eastman was Travel Trade Development Manager at SDTA for the past five years. He previously worked as an Internet & In-Market Corporate Sales Manager at the Zoological Society of San Diego. Eastman is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego.

For travel trade professionals, the San Diego Tourism Authority can provide:

- Distribution of travel industry sales leads to SDTA members

- Promotional materials such as maps, sample itineraries, images and brochures.

- Organization of group familiarization tours and site inspections of San Diego to qualified agents and operators.

Travel professional discounts at many area hotels, attractions and activities upon presentation of a valid IATA card and photo ID.
