The grand opening celebration of Sandals Grande Antigua Mediterranean Village, slated to open October 4, is expected to draw some well-known Hollywood celebrities.
The property has come a long way since Travel Agent visited Antigua at the end of last year for a hard-hat tour of the facility. The three-day celebration will kick off October 4, with VIP guests welcomed to the property, live music from Shaggy and Antiguan culinary delights. The 180-suite Mediterranean Village complements the resort’s existing 193-room Caribbean Village, providing guests with two different luxury resort experiences, additional dining options, an expanded Res Lane spa, and a sixth pool, the largest in the eastern Caribbean.
Agents earn the standard 10 percent commission. Once they accrue three registered bookings over a calendar year, it goes up to 13 percent, and Preferred Sandals Agencies earn 15 percent.
