As expected, Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa in Jamaica reopened December 18, right on time, after four months of refurbishments.
The renovations included upgrades to soft goods and furnishings, and updates to the restaurants, main lobby and treatment rooms at the Red Lane Spa.
The One Bedroom Penthouse Honeymoon Beachfront Suite and the One Bedroom Walkout Honeymoon Beachfront Suite, the resort's top two room categories, were outfitted with updated furniture and new plasma TVs.
The resort also added a brand new restaurant, Neptune's, which offers fresh seafood and Mediterranean dishes. The Neptune's concept was designed by Sandals Resorts International and the plan is to expand the name to other Sandals Resorts.
