Shangri-La Plans 2009 Japan Debut

Shangri-La International Hotel Management has signed a lease agreement that will bring it to Tokyo in March 2009. Under the agreement with Mori Trust, Shangri-La will open and manage a 204-room hotel on the top 11 floors of the 37-story Marunouchi Trust Tower main building, itself currently under construction. The hotel will be in Marunouchi, within a 10-minute walk of the Imperial Palace and Nihonbashi, and beside Tokyo Station. The location will give the property appeal to business and leisure travelers. This hotel, Shangri-La's first in Japan, will also bring Shangri-La's CHI spa brand to Japan.
