Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort Enhances Catering Sales & Marketing with Four New Hires, One Promotion

The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort, located in Nassau, The Bahamas, has announced the appointments of Arlene Rodgers, Christerlina Francis and Tekeyo T. Bodie as catering and convention managers, and Danielle Armbrister as sales and marketing assistant. Lynne Johnson, formerly director of banquet sales, has been promoted to director of catering and convention services.

Based in Nassau, the resort’s sales group is an integral team, responsible for prospecting and maintaining clients, as well as planning and executing events.

Rodgers comes to the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort with more than 10 years of experience in sales, convention services and client relations. Most recently, she was the local meetings manager at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel in Toronto, Canada, where she consistently advanced to positions of higher responsibility over 14 years.

Francis was most recently an account manager at Central Clearing Agency Ltd. in Nassau, where she managed client accounts, maintained customer databases and handled a variety of other administrative duties.

Bodie brings with him more than eight years of food and beverage, catering and sales experience to the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort. His hospitality career began at the Four Seasons Resort, Great Exuma in The Bahamas, where he managed and supervised banqueting staff, organized and managed meetings, as well as solicited new business as part of the catering services team.

As sales and marketing assistant, Danielle Armbrister will support the resort’s sales, catering and convention services teams. She will also help with the resort’s marketing strategy, including promotions, public relations and advertising. Armbrister came to the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort from Diageo Spirits, where she was a brand representative responsible for the development and execution of the company’s yearly brand plan, including managing budgets and coordinating marketing activities.

Johnson joined the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort in 2009 as director of banquet sales, a position in which she was responsible for effectively monitoring the daily operations of the banquet department, including providing support to banquet personnel to ensure positive guest experiences. In her new role as director of catering and convention services, Johnson will train, supervise and work with all catering and convention services staff. In addition to bringing in new group event business, she will also plan, merchandise, and execute functions as they relate to hotel operations.
