Arizona is celebrating the opening of the state’s largest hotel. The 1,000 room Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel is the city’s first new hotel built downtown since 1976. The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel is located in the Copper Square District and is one block from the Phoenix Convention Center and five miles from the Sky Harbor International Airport. The $350 million hotel has 80,000 square feet of meeting space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, 4,500 square-foot outdoor pool and sundeck, lobby bar, and a restaurant and lounge with outdoor seating.
