Sheraton Revamping Fort Lauderdale Property

Starwood Hotels and Resorts along with Starwood Capital Group recently announced a new long-term management agreement and plans for renovation of the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel.  Having closed its doors on June 1, 2009, for the multi-million dollar renovation project, the oceanfront property is set to reopen in January 2010 as The Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel

The hotel’s rejuvenation project includes extensive renovations and restoration to its exterior, guestrooms, meeting space, public areas, restaurants and bar. In conjunction with those upgrades, the hotel will also introduce a new Sheraton Kids Club and Sheraton Core Fitness Center overlooking the main pool.
