Everyone knows Oahu for its beaches, but the island is also home to hundreds of fashionable designer stores as well as markets that carry locally made crafts. Here are just a few of the newer establishments that opened in the last year.

• The Royal Hawaiian Center recently welcomed three new stores to its more than 100 shops and restaurants. Aloha Aina Boutique offers "coastal shabby chic décor;" casual apparel and accessories by independent designers; and locally made, handmade products.
