On Site: Travel Agent Visits the Cliffs of Moher and Galway

LIMERICK - Brian Moore International Tours wrapped up its October fam trip in Ireland Saturday, October 16. When we left Killarney on Friday, Travel Agent was taken to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park in County Clare. The recreated folk park offers visitors a peek into Medieval life in Ireland. As a special treat, our group was welcomed to the castle with a period banquet where we dined on old time favorites (no silverware allowed) and listened to madrigal music. This banquet is offered twice nightly for visitors.

Saturday was no doubt our most remarkable day as we were taken to the Cliffs of Moher, which tower 700 feet over the Atlantic. The cliffs are free to view and are a must for any traveler to the West of Ireland. From the viewing area, visitors have a clear view of the Aran Islands and the rugged coastline.

The tour concluded in Galway city where we were able to grab a bite to eat and do a bit of shopping. This seaside city is also home to a famous cathedral and the well-known Spanish Arch. Galway was once home to many Spanish traders.

Tonight we are staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa in Limerick before returning to the States tomorrow. Look for our full report on the fam trip and Brian Moore International Tours in an upcoming issue of Travel Agent.
