Bad news from Northern Europe today, where the Telegraph is reporting that heavy snow has fallen in several cities, with Amsterdam one of the worst affected. Northern France, Belgium and Germany have also been hit by the snow.
British Airways had to cancel several services this morning going to the Dutch capital. According to the latest update, flights should resume today, but flights from Heathrow to Paris, Munich, Geneva and Stockholm were canceled earlier today, and delays are still affecting those routes.
Dutch carrier KLM has canceled all flights until noon today, although passengers who were scheduled to fly short-haul services to Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Paris are being offered replacement ground transportation.
Air France reported that snowfall in Paris has now stopped, and normal service should shortly be resumed in the city – although it did say delays and cancelations would still be possible in Amsterdam.
Delays have also been affecting some domestic flights, especially to Glagow and Edinburgh.
