The third annual Luxury Travel Showcase, Symposium and Wine Tasting, hosted by SoCal ASTA, recently drew more than 200 travel agents to the Beverly Hills Hotel, including owners, managers, and top professionals.
Prior to the show, Eben Peck, senior vice president of government and industry affairs for ASTA, held a travel agent compliance training course for members. The theme of the event was centered on education and high-end travel, including cruise lines, travel insurance, hotel/land/air and luxury travel.
Panelists for the event included heads of luxury cruise lines, prominent agency owners, hoteliers, land operators and insurance experts. Dr. Marc Mancini and Joe Watters, both diamond award honorees, moderated two of the panels.
Additionally, guest speakers included Edie Rodriguez of Crystal Cruises, Nancy Logan of Uniworld, Tama Holve of Willett Frosch Travel, Lois Mitchell and Mickey Weill of ProTravel, Robin Sanchez of Your Travel Center, Dan Ilves of Travelstore, Andi McClure-Mysza of Montrose Travel/MTravel, and Bell de Souza of Mansour Travel Company.
