Sofitel Opens in Bangkok

The Grand Sukhumvit by Sofitel opened May 17. The 386-room hotel features 241 suites with fully equipped pantries designed to appeal to vacationers and long-staying corporate travelers. Rooms also have broadband internet access, satellite and cable LCD television. The hotel also has a swimming pool, a spa and fitness center, dining, meeting space, a business center and wireless internet access in public areas. The hotel is part of Sofitel's significant expansion in Asia and the Pacific, which numbers 48 hotels in operation in the region, with at least 20 more scheduled to open by early 2008.
