Sofitel Opens in Chiang Mai

Accor is poised to open a boutique Sofitel property in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on December 1. The new 74-room hotel will be branded the Sofitel Riverside Chiang Mai in January. The hotel, on the banks of the scenic Ping River, is a five-minute walk from Chiang Mai's noted night bazaar, and is close to a number of historical and cultural attractions. The hotel will have three restaurants, a bar, a spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool and meeting space. When the branding takes effect in January, the property will be the ninth Sofitel in Thailand and the 50th in Asia and the Pacific. Visit www.accor.com.
