Sonesta Maho Beach Resort Offers New Incentives


Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino offers a windfall of meetings savings with its new “Meet & Treat in St. Maarten” package. The package includes a 15 percent commission for planners, added extras and tax incentives. The new offer is valid for travel for 2009 and 2010, but some blackout dates apply.

The “Meet & Treat in St. Maarten” offers the following incentives: For clients: 20 percent off services at The Good Life Spa, one-hour cocktail party with hors’ d oeuvres and premier drink brands, complimentary meeting space and discounts on Premier Rooms. For preferred group planners incentives include a 15 percent commission, car rental on-site for one-day complimentary cell phone and internet access on-site and in meeting space.

In addition, U.S. clients will enjoy the benefits of the island’s meeting tax incentives, thanks to recent tax agreements between the United States and the Netherlands Antilles. Groups receive the same tax benefits for meetings in St. Maarten as those held in the states. The “Meet & Treat in St. Maarten” offer is valid for travel in 2009 and 2010. A minimum of 20 rooms for three nights each is required. Only available for group contracts signed in the United States. Does not apply to previous bookings or promotions. Some restrictions may apply, including blackout dates.
