Nestled high atop Jamaica's Blue Mountains, Strawberry Hill is home to the Strawberry Hill Aveda Concept Spa, an ideal spot for clients looking to add health and fitness to a relaxing retreat. The resort sits at the top of Jamaica's Blue Mountains

The spa has four dry treatment rooms, one dry couple's room, and a hydrotherapy room. Spa Director Dale Mitchell (876-944-8400) recommends that agents make bookings in advance, especially for those who opt for the spa's most popular Caribbean Body Treatment, a detoxifying hydrotherapy treatment infused with Caribbean plant extracts. The treatment menu, which includes a Body Elixir and the Himalayan Rejuvenation treatment, all use natural local ingredients. Be sure to recommend a personalized Elemental Nature massage with most requested masseuse Marva Carey.

Yoga at dawn is available at the yoga shala (school), and guests can also unwind in the spa's expansive sauna and plunge pools.

For a light meal post treatment, there's a separate buffet area for spa clients. Served here are healthy dishes and island-fresh juices such pineapple ginger lime juice and apple juice with herbal tea infusion. No reservations are needed.

Strawberry Hill is also home to Executive Chef Darren Lee's take on "New Jamaican Cuisine," a revamping of traditional spicy dishes. Recommend the popular jerk lamb rack.

Strawberry Hill has highly private accommodations and is best for upscale clients. Contact the resort's guest relations manager, Maxene Mcpherson, at [email protected], 876-944-8400).

Deluxe studios are the most requested premium accommodation; each of the 12 cottages has a private 500-square-foot balcony overlooking the city 3,100 feet below.

Two villas, Highgate and Mountain View 2, are about 3,000 square feet—perfect to host large families or groups. Also note that the Jade Vine Terrace is an ideal venue for luxury destination weddings.

Rates, based on double occupancy, begin from $590 per room, per night and include meals, beverage and airport transfers. Bookings can be made by GDS; however, it's best to contact Paula Surtees ([email protected], 876-407-6171), the property's general manager.
