California Wine Month kicks off this September with special deals for wine lovers everywhere.
September means harvest time for vintners from Paso Robles to Napa, giving tourists the opportunity to witness the beginning of the winemaking process. In an effort to boost tourism, hotels, restaurants, wineries, and tour companies are offering over 75 deals on hotel packages, tastings, winemaker dinners, and tours.
"California is the leading destination for wine and food travel in the U.S.," said Caroline Beteta, president and CEO of the California Travel & Tourism Commission and chair of the U.S. Travel Association. "We produce 90 percent of American wine and 350 different crops, making us a playground for the culinary arts.”
