Spider-Man Joins Madame Tussauds Las Vegas

On May 2, Spider-Man arrived in Las Vegas, clinging to the side of The Venetian's Campanile Tower. Positioned approximately 35 feet above the ground on the Strip-facing side, near the entrance to Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, the figure is easily visible by passersby.

Three days later, the superhero will join Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, positioned near Nick Fury in the exhibition space adjacent to the attraction’s new Marvel Super Heroes 4D Experience. In this new 70-seat theater, guests can watch their favorite Marvel Super Heroes save the world in a "4D" experience that incorporates a 3D film with special effects, such as sprays of water, smoke clouds and tremors beneath the viewers' feet.

The film was created by Threshold Animation Studios. For the theater experience itself, Madame Tussauds Las Vegas worked in partnership with SimEx-Iwerks, which specializes in designing, building and operating special F/X driven cinematic attractions that feature blockbuster content from the world’s major film studios.

The figures of the Marvel Super Heroes were created by Madame Tussauds’ creative team and brought to life by a team of sculptors who worked closely with Marvel. The creation of the figures began in 2012.
