Sporting Events Boost Hotel Occupancy in Acapulco

The popular Mexican beach destination of Acapulco enjoyed high hotel occupancy levels following several successful events that took place in the destination over the past week.

Following the Mexican Open, or Abierto Mexicano de Tenis, the 2011 Real Cliff Diving Championship, and the Carrera del Golfo al Pacifico, a four-day car rally race at the end of February, Acapulco hotel occupancy levels rose to almost 80 percent as the celebrated resort city bustled with visitors from all over Mexico and the world.

Acapulco plays host to many international events throughout the year, which continue to attract visitors from all over the world.
