The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Puerto Rico, recently announced the appointment of Erik Berger as general manager.
With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality business, Berger will oversee all property operations. He is also responsible for leading the resort’s sales and marketing effort as well as recruiting and managing the property’s 400 associates.
Berger comes to St. Regis from the Moana Surfrider, a Westin Resort & Spa and one of Waikiki’s most iconic resorts, where he served as general manager. Prior to his work at Moana Surfrider, he was the general manager at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort.
Under his leadership, the Walt Disney Swan & Dolphin Resort received several prestigious awards including “Top Companies of Central Florida for Working Families” by the Orlando Sentinel newspaper in 2005 and 2006.
Berger began his career with Sheraton Hotels in 1978 working various positions with the ITT Sheraton Corporation headquarters, including manager of sales and marketing administration, and assistant director of budget and forecast, as well as serving as area controller based at the Sheraton Seattle in Seattle, Washington.
