Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii Hits the Road to Promote the Islands


Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii has embarked on a multi-city journey spanning 42 cities in four countries to promote the Hawaiian Islands and highlight the value of a Hawaii vacation. More than 40 Starwood associates are visiting U.S. cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, Chicago and New York. They’ll also bring their effort to Tokyo, Sydney and Vancouver.
During the blitz, Starwood will promote the company’s Sunsational Savings 3rd Night Free package that offers a third night free (three-night minimum stay) and complimentary daily breakfast buffet for two at Starwood’s hotels and resorts on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island or a $75 dining credit at Starwood’s Waikiki hotels and resorts. In addition, The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas on Maui and the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa are offering a free guaranteed upgrade in participating room categories. Rate code SUN3NF (Oahu, Kauai, Big Island properties) or SUN3NU (Maui properties).
Starwood is also offering savings for group travel to Hawaii before December 31. This includes master account credits, discounts on food and beverage and audio-visual and a bonus of up to 100,000 Starpoints for Starwood Preferred Planners. This special offer is available for bookings signed by March 31.
The Starwood Hawaii team is meeting with travel agents, meeting planners and travel wholesalers, in addition to participating in the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau’s Destination showcase events in key cities. They are also meeting with editors of travel trade and consumer print, online and radio and television broadcast media outlets accompanied by Starwood’s talented new chefs from its island resorts. Starwood Hawaii comprises 11 hotels and resorts on the islands of Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii’s Big Island. Travelers can choose from Starwood’s hotel brands of Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis or Luxury Collection depending on their Hawaii experience of choice.
