Here's a name to remember when sending clients to Kauai: Starwood Hotels & Resorts has named Brent Lausterer as director of sales and marketing for the Sheraton Kauai Resort and The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas.
As director of sales and marketing for the two properties, Lausterer oversees all leisure and group sales, public relations and marketing initiatives for the two resorts.
Hailing from Paia, Maui, Lausterer, who is fluent in Japanese, has served in Hawaii’s hospitality industry for over 15 years. His career began at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, where he served in various roles at the Waikiki and Maui properties’ sales and catering departments. After serving as group sales manager at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, Lausterer joined Starwood Hawaii in 2007 as account director of group sales to develop group business for Starwood’s four Waikiki properties.
