The property, which is on Victoria Island— the business center of Lagos— is owned by The Tourist Company of Nigeria PLC and will be a joint venture between Sun International and Ikeja Hotels PLC.

Suited for business travelers, the property offers eight conference rooms and an executive business center. The hotel underwent a $10 million soft refurbishment and all rooms feature king-size beds and flat-screen LCD TVs. Refurbishment of the linked 224-room Federal Palace Towers Hotel will begin in January 2009. The planned renovation of the hotel, along with the spa and meeting and business center will cost approximately $150-million.
