TAME Airlines, one of Ecuador’s premiere airlines, recently launched new service between Quito, Ecuador and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). This is the first time TAME has ever operated flights to Greater Fort Lauderdale with daily nonstop service.
Officials and executives from TAME Airlines, Broward County Aviation, FLL, the Ecuadorian Ministry of Transportation and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) recently attended a press conference to celebrate the inaugural flight.
“We are extremely excited to launch a new destination into our growing list of international routes arriving into Fort Lauderdale,” said Carlos M. Molinet, senior vice president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau, in a written statement. “With more than 10,000 Ecuadorians living in Broward County, the new routes provide a perfect, easily accessible option for visiting friends and family.”
TAME will offer increased connectivity throughout South and Central America with same day connections to more than 15 destinations within Ecuador, and key feeder Latin American markets, to Greater Fort Lauderdale including Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil.
