Thailand Gears Up for Songkran Festival

This Sunday, April 3, marks Los Angeles' celebration of Thailand's Songkran Festival, or Thai New Year. In honor of the celebration, Thai Town in Hollywood, CA will play host to the 8th annual Songkran Festival, which is expected to bring in over 30,000 attendees.

As a tribute to the holiday, Thai Airways is increasing its domestic flights during the Songkran period to meet passenger demands. Increased domestic flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, Phuket and Krabi will begin April 12 through 17.

The Los Angeles celebration will begin at 9 a.m. and last through 9 p.m. between Western and Normandie in Hollywwod, CA.
