Three Upcoming Events for Foodies Heading to the Aloha State

The 5th Annual Hawaii Chocolate Festival (October 16-18)

The 5th Annual Hawaii Chocolate Festival is the state’s premier showcase of Hawaii-grown chocolate products. Hawaii’s sweetest celebration takes place on Friday through Sunday, October 16 - 18, at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in a special section of the Food and New Product Show. Event hours are Friday from 5 – 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Guests can select the $20 tasting passport for admission and special chocolate sampling from some of the state’s top chocolatiers.

The Kauai Food Tour - South Shore (now through September 30)

Guests can follow an experienced culinary guide in the comfort of their own car and sample the sights, flavors and history of Kauai’s sunny South Shore. The stops on the South Shore food tour are a celebration of street food inspired by Hawaii’s diverse cultures.

Clients will experience Japanese food, taste street tacos, sample tropical gelato, learn about Hawaiian staple foods and meet farmers and food artisans. This unique food tour concludes at the Kauai Culinary Market, Kauai’s premiere gourmet market. This food tour includes tastings at six stops, an experienced guide with plenty of local culinary knowledge and tasty surprises in between.

The four-hour tour concludes with a cooking demonstration at The Shops at Kukuiula, a South Shore culinary destination. There will be time to interact with local chefs and learn their favorite recipes.

The 18th Annual Coconut Festival (October 3-4)

The Kapaa Business Association presents Kauai’s 18th Annual Coconut Festival Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th at Kapaa Beach Park. Foodies can celebrate all that is coconut with unique coconut crafts, coconut games, coconut foods and contests with some of the best crafters, artists and entertainers in Hawaii. Clients can burn the calories away dancing to non stop music. There will also be cooking demos by some of the island’s best chefs.
