Tobago Resort to Host ‘Underwater Carnival’ July 25-29

The brand new Magdalena Grand Beach Resort in Tobago has announced its official sponsorship of the Tobago Underwater Carnival from July 25-29.

The Tobago Underwater Carnival allows divers to celebrate the art of scuba diving and discover the treasures of the underwater world by hosting photo competitions during multiple dives in which enthusiasts are able to photograph local marine life.

Divers can register for the Tobago Underwater Carnival online for a fee of $75 and will receive dive package specials, special discounts at restaurants and select land-based tours, free snorkeling equipment rental, free air ticket between Trinidad and Tobago for international passengers, free transfers to the Magdalena Grand, and the option to attend seminars as well as opening and closing parties.

Registered divers can also take advantage of such activities as presentations by photographer Ty Sawyer, "Professional Prospective of Underwater Photography," cinematographer Peter Kragh and David Jones of Plastic Oceans Foundation; seminars on photography, marine biology, equipment care and fish identification; testing and gear demonstrations and more.

Also, World of Watersports is offering a four-night stay at the luxury resort with six daytime dives and daily breakfast for $692 per person.
