Tom Puntel Is Park Hyatt Beaver Creek's New Director, Sales and Marketing

tom puntelPark Hyatt Beaver Creek has announced the appointment of Tom Puntel as its new director of sales and marketing. 

Puntel has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently serving as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. Puntel will be responsible for overseeing the revenue strategy as well as directing the group and leisure sales teams of the 190-room resort.

During his tenure at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center, he was responsible for driving top line revenues, community engagement and meeting planner satisfaction. He also oversaw the marketing budget for the hotel – including the launch of a new restaurant and post renovation plans.  Additionally, he directed the catering and events department, exceeding revenue and service goals. Under his direction, the department was nominated for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Sales Team of the Year.

Puntel began his career in the industry with an internship at the then Marriott Mark Resort in Vail. After almost 15 years in the Chicago market with other hotel chains, he joined the regional revenue team with Hyatt Hotels Corporation and oversaw pricing and strategy for about 20 hotels.

“Making the move to Beaver Creek is a chapter my family and I very much looking forward to,” commented Puntel. “The property has an excellent track record and has always been a favorite spot of mine. It will be great to call it home,” he continued.
