Maui’d Forever has released a list of the most popular beach wedding destinations for Hawaii-bound couples. The list is based on permit information from the Hawaii’s Department of Land and Natural Resources.
Maui boasted the majority of beach wedding permits. The most popular beaches were Makena cove, Kapalua bay, Poolenalena, Palauea, Makena suft, Charlie Young, Maluaka, DT Fleming and Wailea.
Oahu was next, where couples flocked to Waimanalo, Kahala, Waialae, Duke Kahanamoku, Lanikohonua, Lanikai and Turtle Bay.
Kauai was in the number three spot, with Shipwreck, Keoneloa, Anini, Tunnels, Hanalei bay, lydgate, Puupoa, Waioli, Mahaulepu and Kalapaki being the most popular.
The Big Island of Hawaii came in at number four, with couples gravitating toward Kukio, Abay, Hapuna, Wailea, Kikaua, Kaunaoa and Puako.
Lanai rounded out the list at number five.
