Travelers to Las Vegas this Father’s Day Weekend may be looking for a unique way to celebrate dad on his special day. Here, we’ve rounded up some notable events taking place throughout the city that visitors should keep in mind. 

Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con at the Las Vegas Convention Center

Pop-culture enthusiasts and comic book buffs should make it a point to visit to the Las Vegas Convention Center for the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con 2016 from June 17-19. The annual event will include appearances by several top comic creators from around the world as well as the Las Vegas community. There will also be an "International Artist Alley", the Wizards of Cosplay, a video game arena and hundreds of costumed convention-goers. This year, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Kevin Eastman will be in attendance, along with X-Men writer Chris Claremont and the artist for Suicide Squad, Phillip Tan, among others.

Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus Present Circus Xtreme

This Father’s Day Weekend, Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be presenting Circus Xtreme at the Thomas & Mac Center, complete with high-wire acts, trampoline shows, bungee aerial skydiving displays and a variety of animals. Acts will include performances by The Daring Danguir Troop; Taba & his Exotic Big Cats; The Mighty Ibarra & The Wheel of Steel; and Alex & Irina, The Incredible Comedic Duo, among others. Ringling Bros & Barnum and Baileys

Slipknot With Marilyn Manson at MGM 

Looking to treat a heavy-metal music lover to a wild night in Vegas this Father’s Day? Slipknot and Marilyn Manson will both take the stage at the MGM Garden Arena over the holiday weekend, playing a show filled with fan favorites. Slipknot, which formed in 1995 and is led by vocalist Corey Taylor, combines the sounds of “alternative metal, neo-shock rock and rap-metal” to create a unique blend that the band has come to be known for. Notable records for the band include “Surfacing”, “Duality” and “The Negative One”. Meanwhile, Marilyn Manson is widely known for his often controversial stage personality, as well as some of his best-selling records from the 90’s including “Antichrist Superstar” and “Mechanical Animals”. Both bands will be performing for the 16,800 seat arena on June 17, with the show starting at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices start at $30 and guests must be at least 18 years old to gain admission. EDC Week

Also for the music lover this holiday is EDC Week, seven days of celebrations, pool parties and dance music events on the Strip, hosted by Insomniac, that lead up to the Electric Daisy Carnival. Although the three-day package carnival tickets are sold out, travelers can still purchase tickets for individual performances that will kick off the festivities. Artists scheduled to perform include Zedd, who will take the stage at XS Las Vegas on Friday, June 17, and Armin van Buuren, who will also perform on Friday at Omnia. The Hakkassan Nightclub will host Axwell^Ingrosso and OB-One in the Ling Ling Club on Friday, and on Saturday night Calvin Harris w/ Generik and Turbulence will perform. Museum Season

For travelers to Sin City who are seeking a more relaxed way to celebrate Father’s Day, Las Vegas’ Museum Season is still in full swing until September 1. This annual event takes place throughout multiple museums and venues located around the city, including The Las Vegas Natural History Museum, the DISCOVERY Children’s Museum, The Mob Museum and Springs Preserve.
