Tourism Malaysia Announces Visit Malaysia Year 2007

Tourism Malaysia has officially launched Visit Malaysia Year 2007. The year-long slate of 50 festivals celebrates the Golden Anniversary of Malaysia's independence. August 2007 will be an especially eventful month, culminating in a commemoration of Malaysia's Independence Day on August 30. The country received 151,354 visitors from the U.S. in 2005, and is hoping to lift that figure to 180,000 in 2007. In addition, Tourism Malaysia goes live today with the Malaysia Specialist Program on Travel Agent Magazine's Travel Agent University web site. For more information visit [www.tauniv.com].
