Taste of Britain

Lovers of all things Brit will be drawn to the six-day Taste of Britain trip, heading to all the cultural hot-spots throughout England and Scotland. Starting and departing from London, guests also spend their days exploring Cambridge, York, Liverpool, and Edinburgh. In Stratford-Upon-Avon, they’ll see the Bard’s home in the town where he wrote most of his greatest works. In York, guests explore the old walls of the city and make their way through the quaint narrow streets to York Minster, one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in the world. In their free time, guests can try a traditional Scottish feast of haggis, neeps and tatties in Edinburgh or get their royal fix at Buckingham Palace in London. Other highlights of the trip include a trip to Hadrian’s Wall, sightseeing with a Local Guide in Edinburgh and a visit to Liverpool to see the home of The Beatles.

Highlights of the Italian Lakes

One of five new CostSaver itineraries, the 10-day Highlights of the Italian Lakes introduces travelers to the more remote parts of Italy, outside of the bustling cities. Starting and ending in Milan, guests join a Local Guide for a sightseeing tour of the city before heading off to explore Italy’s lake towns. Passengers visit Italy’s largest lake, Lake Garda, for breathtaking scenery and an included picturesque drive before heading to Limone, located on the banks of Garda. Other bodies of water visited include Lake Maggiore, Lake Lugano, Lake Iseo and Lake Como, where guests are treated to a cruise to the lake community of Bellagio. Next, guests head to Verona, where they’ll get an orientation tour and see Juliet’s balcony, as well as the Roman arena.

Highlights of Germany

The 13-day Highlights of Germany is based on the Best of Germany itinerary from the First Class brochure, with group sightseeing as well as free time for guests to create their own sightseeing schedule. Starting and ending in Frankfurt, guests can also explore Munich, Rothenburg, Dresden and Heidelberg. A Local Guide in Berlin points out the monuments, memorials and social history of the city. Highlights of the trip include a cruise along the Rhine with views of medieval hilltop castles, a trip to Oberammergau (home of the Passion Play) and a scenic drive through the legendary Black Forest.
