Thanks to its North American online travel agent education program, SingaporeSpecialist.com, the Singapore Tourism Board has received the 2009 Pacific Asia Travel Association Gold Award in the Education and Training category. The ceremony was held on September 25 in Hangzhou, China.
The site uses online lessons to help travel agents learn the selling features of Singapore. After a final exam, agents become certified Singapore Specialists and have access to a host of online destination tools. These include ongoing destination news and information, marketing materials, special rates for FAM trips and more.
