Travel Leaders Group Seeks More Hotels in Germany and Europe

berlinTravel Leaders Group has announced that it will seek additional hotel partners for its Worldwide Hotel Program at next month's ITB Berlin.

The proprietary hotel program has grown to more than 35,000 hotel properties globally since its official launch on January 1, 2013. Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program Vice President Mai Meyaart’s top priority in attending ITB Berlin is specifically to increase the number of participating hoteliers from Germany, as well as throughout Europe, the company said in a release.

“The 40,000-plus American travel agents under Travel Leaders Group’s growing umbrella have told us that their European sales are growing for 2015 over last year, and they’ve shared that clients are spending more per trip than the same time last year,” said Meyaart. “Coupled with the dramatic rise of the U.S. Dollar value versus the Euro, our European hotel partners understand that their participation places them in an enviable position to easily gain greater access to the largest cross-section of U.S. travel agents. By establishing a presence for Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program at ITB Berlin, we welcome the opportunity to discuss how non-participating hotels can join forces with us and reach our influential audience.”

Already, 40 percent of Travel Leaders Group’s international hotel bookings are made for European hotels, and Meyaart said this is anticipated to increase substantially, thanks to the strong U.S. dollar. Based on actual 2015 bookings made by Travel Leaders Group’s travel agents, top German destinations include Frankfurt and Berlin

The Travel Leaders Group Worldwide Hotel Program provides commissionable rates through all global distribution systems (GDSs). The majority of rates include breakfast, free Wi-Fi and last-room availability.

Current European partner hotel chains include Accor Hotels, the Melia Group, Corinthia and Red Carnation hotels, in addition to hundreds of independent properties.

Participating hotels are distributed to agents via an e-directory so it is clear which companies and properties in the GDS are applicable.
