Travel Leaders has partnered with to create a specialized travel registry and launched the Destination Bliss glossy magazine in a set of moves aimed at increasing marketing to the destination wedding market.

The company will also continue to emphasize its new Honeymoon and Destination Wedding Specialist Program and its Agent Profiler search engine. These initiatives will help Travel Leaders travel agents build their client base in an industry that is expected to see even more dollars pumped into honeymoons with the anticipated surge of weddings given the recent Supreme Court ruling allowing same-sex marriage, Travel Leaders said. 

The relationship, which was announced at the May 2015 Travel Leaders Regional Meetings, allows couples to register their honeymoon or destination wedding travel plans on a designated website that is unique to each Travel Leaders agency. Their guests can then go on to the Travel Leaders’ agency-branded site to “purchase” items toward the couples’ honeymoon, such as an upgrade to a romantic hotel suite, a snorkeling adventure, or contributions toward the airfare to the couple’s dream destination. The couple will receive a check for the amount of money contributed, and the Travel Leaders agency receives payment by way of a charged service fee, in addition to the commission earned by booking the trip.

The service, which is provided at no cost to Travel Leaders agencies, is fully integrated into each Associate’s individual bio on Agent Profiler. Agent Profiler is Travel Leaders’ special geo-located online service, via, matching the most appropriate Travel Leaders travel agent, or agents, with each individual traveler, based on the consumer’s own unique search criteria and needs. Travelers can select agents based on biography, experience, destination knowledge, specializations, certifications and awards.

Based on their Agent Profiler bios, more than 600 Travel Leaders travel agents already indicate that they specialize in the Honeymoon and Wedding Destination market. This is a 71.4 percent increase from the number of travel agents who made that indication prior to the December 2014 launch of the Travel Leaders Honeymoon and Destination Wedding Specialist Program.

To increase the reach to the Honeymoon and Destination Wedding market, Travel Leaders is also launching Destination Bliss, a specialty lifestyle magazine that will be a valuable planning guide for engaged couples. The inaugural issue of Destination Bliss is set for November 2015.
