Travel Leaders Franchise Group reports that Cape Town, South Africa, will be the host city for the 2013 Travel Leaders International Summit. The International Summit will convene at the Taj Cape Town, April 12-14, 2013. Travel Leaders notes that South Africa is among the top ten destinations agents’ clients want to visit “if money is no object.”
“Every year, our goal for Travel Leaders International Summits is to expose our top echelon of travel agents to one of the world’s premier destinations so they can experience it and sell it from a level of expertise. Based on the direct feedback of those agents who participated in our 2012 International Summit in Dubrovnik, Croatia, we set our sights on their top choice: Cape Town,” said Roger Block, president of Travel Leaders Franchise Group.
Block said that in addition to the business meeting, the focus of the International Summit would be exploration of the host city and surrounding areas. Cape Town will also serve as Travel Leaders’ gateway city for further exploration of South Africa via safari.
Travel Leaders’ 2013 International Summit marks the first time the event has been hosted on the African continent. Previous Travel Leaders International Summits have been held in London (2000), Hong Kong (2001), Paris (2002), Barcelona (2003), Budapest (2004), Dublin (2005), Rome (2006), Dubai (2007), Berlin (2008), Santiago (2009), Jerusalem (2010), Sydney (2011) and Dubrovnik (2012).
