Tropicana Las Vegas Appoints Daniel Wade President and COO

daniel wadeThe Tropicana Las Vegas has appointed Daniel Wade as president and chief operating officer. Wade will oversee all operations of the newly renovated resort and casino.

Wade has 37 years of experience in the gamin industry. Most recently he was chief operating officer of ELAD IDB LV LLC, where he led the design and development efforts for The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas. He has worked primarily with MGM, where his positions included president and chief operating officer of the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Before working at MGM, Wade worked at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino, at Harrah’s in Reno and Atlantic City and at the Maxim Hotel and Casino.

Wade is a member of the board of directors for Shuffle Master, Inc. and is active with the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The Tropicana Las Vegas recently completed a $180 million renovation that included all rooms and suites, the casino, the conference center and exhibition hall, several new restaurants and bars, a new poker room and race and sports book, and the new Glow®, A Mandara Spa and fitness center.
