Trump Planning Waikiki Beachhead

Sharp-eyed visitors to the Trump Organization web site at [www.trump.com] will find a rendering of a 38-story condotel project planned for Waikiki. The Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki, says the site, will comprise more than 500 units and be in the Waikiki Beach Walk neighborhood. That project, currently under development, is in the heart of Waikiki; its first phase is slated to wrap up later this year. Meantime, this Trump beachhead follows an announcement in April that early discussions were under way to place the Trump brand on a project slated to break ground within the Ko Olina Resort in West Oahu at the end of this year and open in 2008.
