Now Larimar Punta Cana // (c) AMResorts

AMResorts will officially debut Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana (formerly NH Royal Beach) and Now Larimar Punta Cana (formerly NH Real Arena) in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic on May 1. The introduction of Now Larimar represents the brand’s entry into the Caribbean and emphasizes AMResorts’ investment in the popular beach vacation destination of Punta Cana.

Through a recent strategic partnership with Spanish hotel company, NH Hoteles, AMResorts will now oversee the sales and marketing initiatives for both resorts, while NH Hoteles will continue operational control. As such, guests of both properties will enjoy the benefits of AMResorts’ Unlimited-Luxury all-inclusive concept.

To celebrate the openings, AMResorts is offering limited-time introductory rates for summer and fall travel. The following rates are quoted per person, per night, based on double occupancy:

Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana - $139 (summer) and $149 (fall)
Now Larimar Punta Cana - $99 (summer) and $89 plus kids stay free (fall)

Adults-only Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana sits on 700 yards of picturesque palm-studded, white sandy beach.  All of its 373 rooms feature a Jacuzzi on the terrace. The resort features three restaurants and five bars. Additionally, guests of this property enjoy reciprocal dining privileges at Now Larimar Punta Cana, expanding their dining options to include 10 restaurants and 14 bars.

Now Larimar Punta Cana features 642 rooms and suites and, in addition to offering seven restaurants and nine bars, it also has an on-site bowling center and an open-air nightclub and lounge with swimming pool.  Children can participate in the resort’s Explorers’ Club, which caters exclusively to guests ages 3-12. Preferred Club level accommodations and amenities also are available, featuring three separate preferred private lounges and a check-in area, daily continental breakfast in the lounges, afternoon hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, free Internet access in the suite and upgraded minibar service and bath amenities.

Both properties share a full-service spa and a 9,040-square-foot convention center. In addition, guests also have close access to four golf courses.  Wedding services and honeymoon packages are available as well.

Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana and Now Larimar Punta Cana are joining the company’s five additional resorts in the destination: Dreams Punta Cana, Dreams Palm Beach, Dreams La Romana, Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana and Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana. The 2013 debut of the Gems at Cap Cana complex, the company’s largest development project to-date, will continue AMResorts’ expansion in the Caribbean. The $400 million development will be comprised of Zoëtry Gems at Cap Cana, Secrets Gems at Cap Cana, Now Emerald Cap Cana and Now Pearl Cap Cana. Also set to open in 2013 is Now Punta Cana.
