Two New Hotels Add to Quito’s Boutique Trend

The city of Quito, Ecuador's vibrant World Heritage Site, offers a range of boutique hotels for clients to enjoy while exploring the capital's rich cultural heritage. And now agents have two more boutiques to pitch for clients heading there.

Recently opened are two new cool, hip and trendy hotels located in the modern quarters of the capital's Mariscal district. The Nu House is located at the Plaza Quinde. Offering 57 rooms, the hotel mixes wood panelling, dark stone flags, stylish lighting and all rooms have 32-inch LCD televisions, mini-bars and white leather-clad desks and poofs.

Further north of the Mariscal district is the newly opened Le Parc, a suite-only hotel, which lies in the heart of the financial district as well as being home to Quito's best shopping mall. The lobby has a water moat feature and there is a roof top terrace bar. There are 30 suites over 12 floors.

The suites have flat-screen TVs with DVD players and CD alarm-clocks. The interiors, meanwhile, have plenty of great touches: some rooms have zebra print coffee tables, others stylish stand-alone bathtubs in front of the windows, minimalist finishings, great lighting and lampshades, coffee-table books and more. There's even a pillow menu.
