Udaipur's Rockwood Palace Resort & Spa Rebrands as Sheraton

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is debuting its brand name in Udaipur, India, after signing an agreement to rebrand The Rockwood Palace Resort and Spa as a Sheraton.

The Sheraton Udaipur Palace Resort & Spa will be the first Sheraton hotel in India to be managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Five more Sheratons will emerge in India in the next three years in Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Chandigarh, Mysore and Amritsar.

The 240-room hotel is located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. It has three gardens, four restaurants and bars, a spa and an upcoming club floor.

Starwood has big plans for India, expecting to expand its portfolio by 60 percent in 2013.
