Universal Orlando Gets into the Holiday Spirit

This year the Universal Orlando Resort is celebrating the holidays with a concert series featuring Mannheim Steamroller, Natalie Cole, and Chris Isaak.

Kicking the series off to a rockin’ start, Mannheim Steamroller performs at the Universal Orlando Resort on December 5, followed by Chris Isaak on December 12 and Natalie Cole on December 19.  Along with their popular hits, each musical artist will perform their own special rendition of favorite holiday classics.

The newly-build Music Plaza, located in the heart of universal Studios theme park, will host each concert after that night’s “Macy’s Holiday Parade.”  Featuring many of the well-know balloons from Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, the festival will have performances by marching bands from across the country and a nightly Christmas tree lighting.

In addition, families can cross the park to the “Islands of Adventure” and watch a live stage show called “Grinchmas,” based on Dr. Seuss' popular children’s book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

The three on-site hotels at Universal Orlando (Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort) will also feature musical performances, tree-lightings, and special events.
