Pacific Island Princess and Prince Grand Ali’i Finals
June 10-12, 2011
If your clients are pageant fans, they can attend the finals of the Pacific Island Pageant. Regional winners from the different Hawaiian islands will compete for the title of Pacific Princess and Pacific Island prince.

Kona Marathon and Family Fun Runs
June 25 & 26, 2011
The Keauhou Beach Resort is the official host hotel of the Kona Marathon, West Hawaii’s premier road race and a Boston Marathon qualifier. Registration and packet pickup is at the hotel on June 25. On June 26, nearly 2,000 runners of all ages and abilities are expected to participate in the day’s activities that will include both a full marathon and half marathon, plus a 10K and 5K family fun run so the whole family can participate. The start and finish line is at the Keauhou Beach Resort.

Hawaii Healing Garden Mango Festival
July 30, 2011, 10am-5pm
This event that will include live music, hula and cultural performances, an eco-fashion show, cooking demonstrations and mango tasting. Attendees will be able to peel, cut or bite their way into varieties of the most widely produced and consumed fruit in the world. The day will also feature an outdoor expo with natural products, medicinal plans, arts & crafts, and much more.

Lavaman Keauhou and Lavaman Keauhou Expo
August 27 & 28, 2011
This Olympic distance triathlon is put on by Hawaii Sports Connection and is open to elite tri-athletes as well as participants and relay teams of all ages and levels. The two-lap course through Keauhou Resort includes a 1.5K swim, 40K bike ride and a 10K run, with a number of vantage points where spectators can cheer on the athletes. Participants will pick up their packets from the hotel August 27 from 1-4:30 pm. Along with the event on Saturday, a LavaKids Aquathon and Lavaman Keauhou Expo will be held Sunday, August 28.

Kona Chocolate Festival

The annual Kona Chocolate Festival highlights and showcases Hawaii’s unique regional products...with an emphasis on chocolate, of course. It is also a fun event for both visitors and residents. The event highlights the creative talents of Hawaii’s culinary arts, chefs, chocolatiers, ice cream and candy makers and culinary students. It strives to support culinary education opportunities and diversified agriculture on Hawaii Island.

Kona Coffee Festival
November 4-13, 2011
Coffee lovers from around the world descend on the Big Island each November for the Kona Coffee Festival. A long list of coffee-laced events are held at the Resort throughout the festival, including the prestigious Gevalia Kona Coffee Cupping Competition where Kona Coffee farms compete to be named the finest Kona coffee in the state. Other activities held at the hotel during the festival include the Gevalia Kona Coffee Art Exhibit, Keauhou Resort Kona Coffee Label & Website Competition, Little Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Pageant and the Kona Coffee Council Dinner & Benefit Auction.
