Vegas Guys’ Getaways

Caesar’s Claudius Villa
With its pool table, bar and big-screen TV, Caesar’s Claudius Villa is an upscale “man cave.”

According to the latest Las Vegas Visitor Profile issued by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, 94 percent of all visitors were “very satisfied” with their visit to Las Vegas, while 5 percent were “somewhat satisfied.” That remaining one percent may include Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug—the put-upon protagonists of the 2009 comedy film “The Hangover”.

Their misadventures in the city didn’t stop the so-called “Wolf Pack” from returning in 2013, however, which is not surprising: 84 percent of visitors to Las Vegas last year and in 2011 were repeat customers. “The Hangover Part III” opened in May and put Las Vegas and its unique brand of pop culture back on the silver screen, with audience flocking to see the conclusion of this highly popular trilogy.

To celebrate this success, Travel Agent has rounded up some of the top guys’ getaway tips and packages for your clients. These promise to be as much fun, and far less dangerous, as anything the Wolf Pack might have encountered.

At Caesars Palace, the site of many scenes in the first and third “Hangover” movies, the Total Experiences program allows a group of guys to custom-tailor their VIP getaway. For bachelor parties, groups that reserve five or more rooms get access to a personal concierge who can book a suite at Caesars Palace, chef’s table dinners at VooDoo Steakhouse, bottle service at Gallery Nightclub or Pussy Cat Dolls Saloon, or the X Girls at X-Burlesque. Reach out to D’Anna Malbrough ([email protected], 702-946-7608), senior manager, partner marketing, leisure sales, Caesars Entertainment.

For bachelor parties at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, guests can take advantage of the Guys’ Night Out menu. For $100, the menu includes a welcome shot, first, second and entree courses and dessert. The price also includes VIP access to the Vanity Nightclub. Bachelor packages include Cabana, Spa, and Body English Nightclub & Afterhours. (All of the above are available in bachelorette versions too.) Direct any queries to William Tervo ([email protected]), director of leisure sales.

The Venetian and The Palazzo offer the Guys’ Ultimate Getaway package. Starting from $219 per night, this package includes a luxury suite for two nights, a $50 food and beverage credit at Lagasse’s Stadium and Bourbon Room, complimentary admission to LAVO Nightclub, a prix-fixe dinner for two at Public House and a $25 credit toward a tee time at Bali Hai, Desert Pines or Royal Links. The 2,900-square-foot Penthouse Suite is the best pick for groups: It can sleep up to 10 and has a dining area for eight. Agents should get in touch with Gerald DiPietro ([email protected], 702-414-1741), travel agent liaison for The Venetian and The Palazzo.

The Cosmopolitan offers bachelors (and bachelorettes) an exclusive experience at the Sahra Spa & Hammam in the Sahra Suite, which has living and entertaining areas with private spa accommodations. The treatment area in the suite includes two side-by-side whirlpool tubs, a steam room, shower, changing and vanity area. The party can have anything from manicures and pedicures to hair grooming, massages or various other treatments. Also available to them are champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries and an assortment of fruit. To book, contact Resort Services at 702-698-7100.

Other perks at the resort include special meals (geared for all guys or all girls) at the STK restaurant and special access to the nightclubs with table service or other deals. For details, reach out to Senior Leisure Sales Manager Katie Ladomerszky ([email protected], 702-698-7084).

If your clients’ style is more Rat Pack than Wolf Pack, maybe they’d prefer to bond over a game of golf. Las Vegas Golf Adventures is offering a “Fall 2013 Pre-Book Special” that includes three rounds of golf and three nights’ accommodations anytime between August 25 and November 24, 2013. Participating hotels and package rates are as follows: Harrah’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino ($399), Mirage Hotel and Casino ($499), Aria Resort and Casino ($569) and Bellagio Hotel and Casino ($649). Rates are per golfer, double occupancy; add $50 for weekend stays. Available courses are Silverstone Golf Club, Siena Golf Club and Boulder Creek.

If the guys want a fun way to cool off after a round of golf, let them know that the brand new Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas water park is open daily through August 25 and then weekends through September 29. Rides include Rattler, which takes riders through 360 feet of twists and turns and descents of more than 40 feet en route to the splashdown pool below, and the Constrictor, an action-packed slide with what are billed as the tightest and highest banking turns in the world. They can also enjoy the Red Rock Bay Wave Pool or just float leisurely along the 1,000-foot winding waterway known as the Colorado Cooler. For more information, e-mail [email protected].
