Las Vegas is introducing "Phantom Week" this September with itineraries dedicated to the show. Fans will get a chance to participate in a "phantom makeover" where Associate Costume Designer Sam Fleming will select two fans to undergo a unique makeover by the Phantom of the Opera's award winning hair and makeup crew. Not only will these two fans be indulging in the makeover, they will be dressed in actual material from the show. The two participants will arrive at the Insider Session and will emerge from the shadows as the Opera Ghost and his star pupil.
Along with the festivities surrounding Phantom of the Opera, there will be a Welcome Masquerade Party held Thursday night. The party will be held in Vegas' St. Marks Square at The Venetian. Fans will dress in their masquerade attire and meet the cast of the show. St. Marks will be decorated replicating the Carnival atmosphere of Venice.
The first ever Phantom Week will provide fans with behind-the-scenes access to meeting the Phantom cast and a Q&A with Tony Award-winner Anthony Crivello who plays "The Phantom." Guests will also get a chance to learn about how the Opera Garnier of Paris was recreated specifically for The Venetian.
Speaking at the event will be twenty-one time Tony Award-winner, Hal Prince. Prince will enlighten guests about his career his work on The Phantom of the Opera and the process of transitioning The Phantom of the Opera into the 95-minute Phantom - The Las Vegas Spectacular.
Since there are different levels of registration, fans can stay for a short weekend or a full week. All registration levels include admission to all six Insider Sessions, including the keynote address by Director Hal Prince. The makeover session with Sam Fleming is also provided, along with four performances of Phantom and exclusive access into the grand Masquerade Ball at St. Mark's Square with the cast of Phantom. Fans planning on staying longer can participate in a dinner with Executive Producer Scott Zeiger at Wolfgang Puck's Postrio Restaurant or the Farewell Brunch at Bouchon Restaurant.
Fans who register before June 25 will receive a $25 per person discount.
